Forklift Operators Wanted!

This role is primarily based in the transport yard, with spending most of the day operating a forklift.

Key responsibilities

• Unloading trucks carrying pallets of crates, transporting them safely to the Crate Wash area, and ensuring proper handling throughout the process.
• Once the crates are washed, the candidate will move the cleaned pallets back into the yard and load them onto outgoing trucks.
• The role requires adherence to safety procedures, maintaining an organized yard, and working efficiently to support smooth daily operations.
• The position involves close collaboration with the yard and wash-bay teams and requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a forklift for extended periods.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift license.
• Proven experience operating a forklift for the majority of the production day over a full work week (at least 5 days).
• Experience loading and unloading various vehicle types, such as flatbeds, dog trailers, B-doubles, Pantech trucks, and shipping containers.
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle (NHV) laws and Chain of Responsibility regulations.
• Proficiency in operating a double tyne forklift.
• Demonstrates a strong forklift driver mindset, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
